2010 season begins Easter
Thank you to all of the passengers who rode with us in 2009. Our 2010 season does not start until the weekend before Easter. Please check back in a few weeks to order your tickets online.
Coach #9109 enters service for the holidays
West Chester Railroad has a new coach joining the fleet! Ex-Reading Blueliner #9109 is now in train service. We are in the process of restoring the exterior of the coach to its original Reading Blueliner heritage scheme. The coach interior is complete, but the exterior still needs to be lettered. The addition of 9109 not only offers nostalgic memories, but also provides the railroad with additional seating during the busy holidays.
Window Refurbishment Program
In January 2009, a project began to restore all of the windows in our coaches in a sharp clarity. Over the years, our windows had become cloudy due to acid rain and UV sun rays. After some trial and error we have found a procedure to remove the oxidation on our windows to make them clear again.
