Welcome to the West Chester Railroad!

We are a tourist railroad in the beautiful Chester Creek Valley in Southeast Pennsylvania. We offer a variety of nostalgic train trips in conjunction with special events in the towns along the line, as well as regular weekend seasonal runs.

-- NOTICE --
THIS NOTICE SUPERCEEDS OUR PRINTED SCHEDULE!

Due to the increase in fuel prices, we will be offering only one trip on Sundays at 12 noon, from Market St. ONLY. This will also help us keep the price from increasing. We will still be offering birthday parties for the kids upon request.

Thank you for your support, the West Chester Railroad

Throughout the year, The West Chester Railroad offers special events for our riders. Join in the fun. Please check our special events link for the latest information.

IN MEMORIUM
Joe Parsons, WCRR Engineer,
passed away suddenly on May 7th, 2008.
We will greatly miss you Joe!

West Chester Railroad lost one of our most valuable members may 7th. Joe Parsons was killed in a car accident on Tuesday, May 7th, when the restored 1967 camaro he was driving hit an embankment and turned over on Rose Tree Road in Media. Joe was the owner of Parsons Electric Contracting Co. in Media, PA. Joe loved railroading, and was one of our founding volunteers when the railroad started in 1996. Joe helped us build our Adams Street Yard and set up our station and yard office with all our electrical needs. He also wired all our Reading coaches to run on a generator. Joe also went to E M D electrical school for locomotive electrics in La Grange, IL. He rewired engine #6499 in the Lenni Building over the fall and winter. I never heard Joe say "No" to anyone, he was always there to do what had to be done. He will be greatly missed by everyone who worked with him.
     - Joe G., President, WCRR.
